welcome to my blog

Project Hitchhiker is the online creative outlet of Mike H.

Mike’s adventures have taken him across 3 continents, including driving a motorcycle for 6 months across Southeast Asia, hitchhiking across Canada and Japan, and walking 1000 miles along the coastline of Nova Scotia. Mike’s passions are music, travel and motorcycles (in that order). Mike’s dislikes include writing about himself in the third person. This site is a collection of his travels, stories and adventures in lifestyle design.

First thing’s first: Matt Mays Rocks. (see below)

One cool thing about being so sick with the flu that it hurts to think, is that you have all kinds of free time.

I decided to ignore Tim Ferris’ advice and take a day to do things that could barely be construed as “productive” and not even remotely “goal-oriented.”

I spent the day playing guitar, looking at my old journals and pictures, and learning how my scanner works (surprisingly easy and fun). Ah, memory lane…

I came across a few pieces of interest. I found the original citation for my Trainhopping experience, which I scanned and put at the bottom of this page, which tells the story.

I then scanned and added pictures to my very first post about climbing Mt. Fuji.

And later, I found the Rosetta Stone. A picture of the infamous “Fat Mike.”

Now — Fat Mike is kind of like Big Foot. Sure, people talk about having possibly seen Fat Mike at one time, years ago, but they never have any hard evidence and no one believes them. Today, I came across this: hard evidence of Fat Mike

And the last fun thing is that I’m finally getting back into writing on guitar. It’s feeling very therapeutic.

Today was not a Massive Action Day. But I’m okay with that.

  1. That’s wild, I was doing things you really couldn’t say was productive and from the Rosetta Stone through networked wikipedia searches. The great stone script of Egypt.

  2. Wow, you were fat, holy shit, I forgot how fat you were, look at you, you big fatty. Like if blogging were dodgeball based on that photo you’d get picked last.

Seriously though, I don’t recall you being fat, I know you were, but I figured any record of it was blurry and shakey footage filmed on an old camera.

  3. Um, seriously? I’m kind of disappointed. I would definitely call that “Chubby Mike,” but it’s not as bad as I thought it would be. Oh, well. You’ve still got time. Aren’t you from the country that claims putin?

  4. um idk what to write lol soooooooo i just liked the video i think
